Should air compressors be installed centrally or decentrally?

 

For enterprises with a large demand for compressed air, multiple air compressors are generally needed to meet the demand. 2. Advantages of centralized installation

 

(1) If the gas consumption fluctuates greatly, less compressed air reserve is required under peak gas consumption.

(2) Maintenance costs are relatively low.

(3) The motor and main engine of large air compressors are more efficient and can reduce energy consumption.

(4) Low installation cost and small floor space. Centralized installation means centralized air intake, centralized machine room ventilation, compressed air drying, etc. Convenient control of the compressed air system.

In summary, it is generally preferred to use a centralized air compressor station. If the air equipment is scattered or far away and the air pressure is different, decentralized installation can be selected.
